Professional Meetings, Lectures, and Field Trips

The NSS program occasionally sponsors field trips or lectures, and a number of other Southern California organizations sponsor a variety of activities in the national security studies field. Participate to the maximum degree possible. In addition, look for opportunities to write up these activities for local or school newspapers, bulletins, or other publications. Again, this demonstrates a level of professional involvement that sets you apart.
